Guillotine

Joseph Ignance Guillotin came up with a new design! It is a design like the breaking wheel, also known as the Catherine Wheel. Someone lays down on their stomach. Then, people strap them in so then there is no way they can get away. Someone pulls a lever, the the blade shoots down. Their head rolls into a basket. They are still alive for about 10 seconds! Like for example, their eyes could still be blinking when it is not attached to their body. Then, they throw their body into a cart and with all the bodies that have been killed by the guillotine that day. The forces are changed when someone pulls the lever the blade shoots down, and cuts the person in half. At the end of the day, they throw them into a graveyard.

This machine affects the society. It affects the society because more and more people are losing their lives. It doesn't really affect the industry because it's not used for good. It is used for bad because they are killing people. They killed the people if they were suspected of treason like saying Mr. or Mrs. They had to be called citizen.

The guillotine is both a good machine and a bad. It is bad because of what it is used for, but good because it kills people faster then by hanging them and it was also less painful. The people would get in a single file line and go one by one to be killed. This system made it faster to kill more people in a day. The guillotine is the new improved killing system that was used for many more years.
